Many photographers concentrate on just one part of the process when creating digital B&W images. To really get the best possible images you have to look at and understand the whole process from the click of the shutter to the final print. You will learn all the steps needed to produce your own outstanding B&W prints.
There are almost as many different ways to do digital color to B&W conversions as there are photographers doing them. I will walk you through a few of the most common methods and show you the pitfalls of some common conversion methods.
In addition to looking at the different parts of the process we will talk about how to fit them all together to get a workflow that suits your unique needs while still producing top notch results.
The final part of the process is the print and with digital there are many options, you will get a chance to look at the same image printed on different materials with different methods, This will give you a starting point for what will work best for your work.

Cort has been a B&W photographer for over 30 years and has been working with digital photography for almost 15.
His photography experience spans a wide gamut of areas from working as a photographer on a daily newspaper to lab owner to commercial assistant to installing state of the art digital imaging systems. He has invested heavily is perfecting his digital B&W photography and printing.
Cort now owns Training Wheels where he specializes in graphics software training, internet consulting and fine art photography.
